The DBHL plays it's season at the Jean XXIII outdoor rink on Saturday and Sunday mornings between 9:00am and 1:00pm.

The season begins in early September with tryouts, which are open to anyone 18 years or older. The regular season consists of a 35 game schedule that runs from the end of September to early March. The playoffs follow immediately after with three best-of-5 series.

The DBHL is a member of the DAA and is run by a 7 member committee.
